Initial Consultation

I offer both telephone and in-person consultations for prospective clients. Phone consultations are free up to twenty minutes. In-person consultations are charged at $75 for up to one hour. Please contact me to schedule a consultation to discuss the services provided by Amy E. Mitchell and the associated fees and costs. I credit initial consultation fees (if any) against work performed for you later, making an initial in-person consultation free to subsequent clients.

Flat Fees

I understand the importance of budgeting the cost of legal representation. Therefore, I make every effort to work with you to determine a single flat fee.

Retainers and Hourly Rates

If you choose to work with me on an hourly basis, I will assess your billing needs and arrange a reasonable retainer fee for you. Retainers are a sum of money clients pay before the start of work. I will hold such retainer in trust for the client, and subtract my hourly fees and costs from such retainer fee.

Deferred or Contingency Billing

Unfortunately, due to my commitments to existing clients, I cannot provide deferred or contingency billing plans, regardless of the type of work or the quality of the materials. I encourage pro-bono cases to contact a legal aid association such as Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts.
